This paper reviews refrigerator and freezer insulating foam applications in the domestic refrigeration sector for the sake of reducing ozone depleting substances (ODS) use in developing countries. The report covers: (a) plastic liners; (b) cyclopentane-based technology; and (c) energy efficiency of appliances.
