Financing of telecommunication expansion (Английский)

This paper briefly discusses the inadequate service levels in the telecommunications sector in developing countries and outlined four of the major constraints to more rapid sector development. It suggests that institutional and organizational problems constitutes a more severe constraint on sector growth than does a lack of finances. World Bank participation in the financing of telecommunications investment programs is then outlined.
