This monograph attempts to summarize the main findings of the World Bank research program known as the City Study. The study examined five major uban subsectors - housing, transportation, employment location, labor markets, and public finance - in Bogota and Cali, Colombia. The goal of this study was to increase understanding of these sectors in order to assess the effects of policies and projects on cities in developing countries.
